MICADA (Micro Irrigation & Command Area Development Authority) is a Haryana Government body under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. It promotes water-efficient farming through subsidised drip & sprinkler irrigation systems and on-farm water tanks — helping farmers grow more with every drop.
Financial assistance is provided to eligible farmers — 85% under the Micro Irrigation Scheme, and 70% for individual farmers / 85% for groups under the On-Farm Water Tank Scheme, subject to scheme norms and current Haryana Government rates.
Financial assistance on installing drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation systems on your farm — covering layout, piping, drippers/sprinklers, filters and related components from empanelled agencies.
Assistance for constructing lined water storage tanks on your farm — storing canal or rain water for reliable irrigation, especially during peak summer demand.
Registration is done on the official MICADA portal using your Aadhaar number.
Open micada.haryana.gov.in and register as a farmer with your Aadhaar (OTP verification).
Choose Micro Irrigation or On-Farm Water Tank and fill the application with land & bank details.
System installed by an empanelled agency; department officials inspect the site.
Assistance is transferred directly to your bank account (DBT) after approval.
