Subsidy, in plain numbers

The central government subsidy is credited by DBT straight into the homeowner's own bank account once the system is installed and inspected. EcoGrid files the portal application, gets DHBVN approval, applies for the net meter and follows the subsidy until it lands — money never passes through us.

It is a cap, not per kW: a 5 kW or 10 kW home system also receives ₹78,000 — the subsidy stops at the 3 kW slab. Free units are indicative generation at roughly 100 units per kW per month.

BPL / Antyodaya families — separate Haryana state route
Haryana adds a ₹50,000 state top-up for a 2 kW system for Antyodaya / BPL households, over and above the central PM Surya Ghar subsidy of ₹60,000 — so a 2 kW system attracts up to ₹1,10,000 in total subsidy.
In this category the DISCOM nominates the vendor and allots the capacity, so it is not booked like a normal vendor job. The amount follows the state notification in force — confirm the current figure at your DISCOM office. Tell us your category and we will explain what to submit and where.

Haryana MSME Solar Subsidy 2026 — 30% capital subsidy on your factory rooftop
A separate scheme for industry. Manufacturing MSMEs in Haryana can claim a 30% capital investment subsidy on a net-metered solar rooftop plant under the Haryana Progressive MSME & Export Promotion Policy 2026 — up to ₹25 lakh or ₹35 lakh, depending on the area category of the unit.

Can a factory or MSME get a subsidy on solar?
Manufacturing MSMEs in Haryana can claim a 30% capital subsidy on a net-metered rooftop plant under the Haryana Progressive MSME & Export Promotion Policy 2026, subject to area category and a ₹25–35 lakh ceiling. Companies also get accelerated depreciation on solar. We prepare the technical file and coordinate with the District MSME Centre.

How do I apply for net metering or manage my electricity services?
You can apply online on your DISCOM's customer portal — new connections, bill services, net metering and other requests are handled there. Hisar and most of North Haryana come under UHBVN — Manage & Apply Services ↗, and South Haryana under DHBVN — Manage & Apply Services ↗. We help with all the solar-related paperwork.
